GREEN BAY, Wis. — Micah Parsons doesn’t expect jeers when he returns Sunday night to the stadium he called home for four seasons.
Ahead of the Packers visiting the Cowboys in prime time, Parsons said he thinks Dallas loves him.
“I think they’re going to give me a good round of applause. There’s no hard feelings there, at least from me,” Parsons said. “It’s going to be a great atmosphere.”
Even if Cowboys fans don’t welcome their former star pass rusher with open arms, there doesn’t seem to be any animosity between Parsons and his former teammates. Parsons was complimentary of his former quarterback Dak Prescott, saying he “never would bet against him.”
“I think Dak is so good because he’s overly confident and he believes he can make every throw,” Parsons said. “And I think 90 percent of the time, he does do that.”

Parsons also said he talks to Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs at least once a week and spoke recently with Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb about keeping his spirits up amid a high-ankle injury that will sideline him for Sunday’s game. Parsons added that Lamb is his favorite wideout in the NFL and he’s happy, in a way, that Lamb isn’t facing the Packers.
Parsons also talks to the Dallas defensive linemen “quite a bit” and said the Cowboys’ offensive linemen are like brothers to him after helping them throughout training camp while Parsons held out. Parsons was the Cowboys’ best player over the last four years since they drafted him No. 12 in 2021, but team owner and general manager Jerry Jones said there will be no tribute video for Parsons during Sunday night’s festivities.
“There’s a lot of things I can consider disrespectful throughout this process, but I wouldn’t say the tribute is one of them,” Parsons said. “I would say, I just think there’s hard feelings maybe there for them, but for me, I’m happy where I’m at and we got a really good football team, so I guess I can (receive) my tribute in a win, I hope.”
Parsons added that he hasn’t talked with Jones since OTAs and never heard from him right before or after being traded.
Jones shipped Parsons to the Packers for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and Green Bay’s next two first-round picks while Parsons signed a record-breaking contract with the Packers, who look to bounce back from a surprising 13-10 loss to the Browns last Sunday before their Week 5 bye.
