The Ravens’ entire starting defensive line is not at practice on Wednesday as they prepare to play the Kansas City Chiefs.
Defensive tackles Nnamdi Madubuike (neck), Travis Jones, and Broderick Washington Jr. were not spotted as rain came down at the Under Armour Performance Center.
Veteran nose tackle John Jenkins and rookie Aeneas Peebles are the only defensive linemen on the 53-man roster who are practicing.
After the Ravens yielded 224 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground against the Detroit Lions, they have been forced to add more depth in the trenches. Baltimore signed veteran defensive tackles Taven Bryan and Josh Tupou to the practice squad.
Left tackle Ronnie Stanley is also not on the practice field Wednesday after playing every snap against the Lions. The Ravens are on a short week after playing Monday night.
Pro Bowl fullback Patrick Ricard (calf) and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) remain sidelined. Ricard hasn’t practiced since Aug. 14 and Van Noy missed the Lions game.
The Chiefs are much healthier, as Head Coach Andy Reid said every player on the active roster was expected to practice Wednesday.
