FRISCO, Texas — The hits keep on coming for the Dallas Cowboys, that’s for certain. As they sift through the fallout of their 31-14 loss to the Chicago Bears that also cost them CeeDee Lamb due to injury, they’re also now concerned about Tyler Booker.
The rookie first-round pick suffered, like Lamb, a high ankle sprain at some point in the contest but also played in every snap of the game before discovering one day later he will miss multiple weeks.
That of course means his injury is much worse than Lamb’s.
The offensive line in Dallas is already without starting center Cooper Beebe, who was moved to injured reserve just last week and is expected to miss upwards of two months. That thrust Brock Hoffman into the role, and it will likely now be T.J. Bass manning the post to Hoffman’s right.
Booker was off to a strong start to his career, to say the least, in both pass protection and in clearing running lanes for Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders.
If he joins Beebe on IR, he will be forced to miss a minimum of four games before being allowed to return to action.
