Melania Trump’s Visit with Kate Middleton Unlocked Her Relatable Side

While everyone is still discussing the Trump family’s UK visit, where they met with the royal family, and US President Donald Trump also held a joint news conference to discuss a range of topics with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, there’s something else people can’t stop talking about. All eyes were seemingly on the US First Lady, Melania Trump, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, also known as Kate Middleton.

The pair were chatting it up, smiling, and focusing on their shared passion for helping children. But was it all authentic? Was it all for show? Well, one body language expert dissected the visit, and revealed what she believes to be what happened between the two.

In case you missed it, body language expert Judi James claimed to The DailyMail that Kate seemingly brought out the calmer side of Melania during her visit. Specifically, she said Kate’s “fun-bombing body language” brought out the “endearing, more relatable version of Melania.”

“Kate’s non-verbal technique seems to be to ‘mirror, pace and lead,’ having first shown Melania her more formal and elegant side before busting out her relaxed and playful version to allow and encourage the First Lady to do the same,” James said. “Her normal caution when it comes to relaxing officially seems to vanish as she sees a royal princess just relaxing and getting stuck in. Suddenly we’re treated to Melania’s prolonged and hugely authentic smile that is closer to Kate’s [smile] of authentic pleasure than her usual rather rigid one with her husband.”

The women met with Scouts earning their “Go Wild” badge, and although it’s unclear what they discussed, they seemed to genuinely enjoy their time together. And this is a far cry from the Trump family’s first visit in 2019, which only had Melania and Kate do the standard greetings.
