Hours later, the same Lamborghini that attempted its moment in the spotlight was found smashed on a central reservation in Seclin. According to local reports, the driver had tried to outrun police at speeds topping 200 km/h — a move that didn’t just fail but ended in full-blown wreckage.
And it didn’t stop there. Other vehicles from the wedding convoy — including a Mercedes-AMG and a Golf GTI — were also filmed in various stages of damage. It’s unclear whether these cars were privately owned or rented for the occasion, but either way, the aftermath likely involved some very expensive phone calls the next morning.
When celebration turns into recklessness
Blocking a motorway for personal celebration isn’t just an inconvenience — it’s a criminal offence that puts lives at risk. Authorities in France, as in many countries, take such behaviour seriously, especially when it involves reckless driving, public endangerment, and the misuse of luxury vehicles as makeshift carnival floats.
What was meant to be a spectacle of love and luxury quickly spiralled into a lesson in limits — both legal and literal.
Karma came calling
In the end, the wedding party got its wish: the event was memorable. Just not for the reasons anyone had hoped. Social media users were quick to label the fallout as karma in high-definition — a cautionary tale wrapped in crushed carbon fibre and legal fees.
