Results of Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre at WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025

Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE title took place at WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025. Here are the highlights…

Cody and McIntyre traded shots in the opening moments. Cody, who didn’t seem to be at 100%, delivered a Cutter and sent McIntyre to the outside. Cody went for a Suicide Dive, but McIntyre caught him and launched him over the announce desk. Mcintyre then gave Cody an inverted Alabama slam onto the steel steps.

Back in the ring, Cody regrouped and delivered another Cutter to McIntyre. However, McIntyre avoided the Cross Rhodes and delivered a Glasgow Kiss. McIntyre followed with an Avalanche White Noise, but Cody was able to kick out. Cody avoided a Claymore and applied a Figure Four Leglock, but McIntyre escaped and ripped off the top turnbuckle pad. When the referee had to avoid contact, McIntyre rolled up Cody, but the referee couldn’t make the count right away. After McIntyre was sent into the exposed turnbuckle, Cody hit the Cross Rhodes, but McIntyre kicked out. McIntyre came back with the Claymore, but Cody kicked out.

Outside the ring, McIntyre went to give Cody a Claymore onto the announce desk. After the referee initially got in the way, McIntyre went for the move again, but Cody moved. McIntyre got back in the ring and connected with the Glasgow Kiss. He went for the Claymore, but his legs gave out. Cody hit another Cutter, followed by the Cross Rhodes, and got the win.
