Public Health Alert Issued For Trader Joe’s Ready-to-Eat Wrap

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert for a ready-to-eat turkey wrap sold at Trader Joe’s due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Here’s what to look for on the label: a 10-ounce clear plastic clamshell marked “Trader Joe’s Turkey Gobbler Wrap,” best by September 16, 2025, and establishment number P-1644 inside the USDA mark of inspection. FSIS says the product was produced on September 10, 2025, and shipped to Trader Joe’s locations nationwide.

The alert follows routine environmental testing by the manufacturer that detected Listeria on food-contact surfaces associated with this product. FSIS notes there are no confirmed illnesses linked to the item.

The wrap is no longer being sold, so FSIS did not request a formal recall. The agency issued the alert to reach anyone who might still have the product at home. If it’s in your fridge and matches the identifiers above, do not eat it. Toss it or return it to the store, and clean any surfaces it touched.

Listeria can be especially risky for pregnant women, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms can include fever, headache, muscle aches, nausea, and stomach upset. Anyone who ate the product and feels sick should contact a healthcare provider.
