It’s National Cheeseburger Day, and there are several places people can celebrate, with plenty of deals being offered.
Most of the deals are being offered at nationwide chains, but if you’re interested in going to a local spot on Thursday, Sept. 18, check out this list:

For anyone interested in snagging some deals and freebies today, here’s a list of the deals happening at chains you can find in Michigan and across the country:
Applebee’s
Customers can get one of three classic burgers with classic fries for $8.99 on National Cheeseburger Day. The deal is available for dine-in, Applebee’s website orders and mobile app orders. It is not valid on third-party delivery sites.
BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse
People can get the new Smash Burger with a personal pizookie for $13 at BJ’s Restaurants and Brewhouse.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings Rewards members can buy one cheeseburger and get a second one of equal or lesser value for free on National Cheeseburger Day. People must order through an active Buffalo Wild Wings Rewards account or share the phone number associated with the active account with their server to get this deal.
BurgerFi
On Sept. 18, customers can buy one BurgerFi Single Cheeseburger and get a second one for $1. The deal is limited to two redemptions per customer and is valid in-store only.
Burger King
Burger King Royal Perk Members can get a free cheeseburger with a purchase of $1 or more.
Checkers and Rally’s
Customers can get the Big Buford burger for $3 on National Cheeseburger Day.
Dairy Queen
People can get a free double cheeseburger when they place a digital order of $1 or more on Dairy Queen’s app.
McDonald’s
McDonald’s is offering customers a double cheeseburger for 50 cents on National Cheeseburger Day for app users.
Portillo’s
Portillo’s Perks members can get 50% off burgers for National Cheeseburger Day.
Red Robin
People can get the Big Yummm Burger Deal for $9.99 on Sept. 18. It includes a Red’s Double Tavern Burger, a bottomless side and a bottomless beverage. The deal is only available for dine-in customers at participating locations.
Ruby Tuesday
Ruby Tuesday is offering an American Smashed Burger, fries and the all-you-can-eat Garden Bar for $8.99 for National Cheeseburger Day. The offer is dine-in only.
Savvy Sliders
Savvy Sliders is offering buy-one-get-one-free Big Signature Sliders on Sept. 18. The offer is limited to one per person, and customers must mention the deal to receive it.
Sonic
People can get a Double Sonic Smasher burger for free when they purchase another one on the Sonic app on Sept. 18.
Wahlburgers
Wahlburgers is offering 50% off all adult burgers for National Cheeseburger Day. Customers can show or mention the offer in stores or use the code CHEESEBURGERDAY25 at checkout when placing an order online.
White Castle
Customers can get buy-one-get-one-free cheese sliders on Sept. 18. To get the deal online or in the app, customers should enter the code SAYCHEESE at checkout.
