Defense Stays Resilient vs. Seattle
Seattle’s lone touchdown drive came midway through the second quarter, but San Francisco’s defense made them earn it. Fred Warner and Dee Winters combined for a key stop on Zach Charbonnet behind the line of scrimmage, while Nick Bosa and Kalia Davis added tackles for loss to stall the run game. The 49ers defense held firm, limiting explosive plays and forcing Seattle into multiple punts.
McCaffrey Leads Balanced Ground Attack
Christian McCaffrey looked sharp in the opener, contributing both on the ground and through the air to keep the offense moving. The All-Pro back carried the ball 22 times for 69 yards and added 73 receiving yards to spark San Francisco’s passing game. Behind him, running back Brian Robinson Jr. added 33 yards on the ground, helping the 49ers reach 384 total net yards. McCaffrey’s versatility set the tone throughout the game.
