3 Oregonians win $50,000 each in Labor Day Powerball drawing

Three Oregonians walked away with $50,000 prizes each following Monday’s Powerball drawing.

The three winning tickets were sold in Clackamas, Damascus, and West Port, according to the Oregon Lottery. The identities of the lucky winners were not revealed.

Still, no Powerball jackpot tickets have been sold, and the total prize has grown to a jaw-dropping $1.4 billion ahead of Wednesday’s drawing. The odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 292 million.

It was just a year ago when Portlander Cheng “Charlie” Saephan, his wife, and friend shared a Powerball jackpot worth $1.3 billion. It is still the largest prize ever won in the state.

In January 2025, a man in Beaverton won a Powerball jackpot worth $328.5 million, according to the Oregon Lottery.

The $1.4 billion prize is the fourth largest prize in Powerball history and the sixth largest prize ever among US jackpot games.
