The man with the most runner-up finishes without a win on the PGA Tour has a chance to shed that title Sunday at the 2025 Wyndham Championship. Cameron Young enters the final round of the PGA Tour’s regular season finale with a five-stroke lead over Nico Echavarria as he looks to become the 1000th unique winner in the history of the PGA Tour.
Young stands at 20 under and has his sights set on the winner’s circle and a potential tournament scoring record while those behind him jostle for postseason positioning. Through three rounds, Echavarria has made a massive move from just inside the top 70 to potentially inside the top 50 and even higher if he can somehow track down Young.
Meanwhile, Gary Woodland, Chris Kirk, Davis Thompson and Matti Schmid find themselves firmly on the projected FedEx Cup bubble and firmly inside the top 15 of this leaderboard. This will look to maintain their spot inside the postseason cut-off point in what is sure to be a drama-filled final 18 holes to the PGA Tour’s 2025 regular season.
