We are in the End Game now.
No really.
Week 9 means there are officially fewer regular-season weeks left in fantasy than weeks played. For many of you, that means you finally get your Tuesday or Wednesday evenings back. The continual race against time to get your bids in and a constant combing through of names to improve your roster will all be over soon. That also means there are fewer weeks to make that one addition that your team desperately needs to chase a playoff berth… or better yet, a fantasy championship.
Week 9 also officially means we have survived Byemaggedon. I, like many of you, started some very sketchy players in Week 8 as we entered survival mode to get through the shaky waters of having six teams on bye. Weeks 9 and 10 are difficult with four teams on byes each, but they pale in comparison to the gauntlet we faced in Week 8.
This is the week to keep grinding. There are a number of names listed as potential running back additions — and after the season-ending injury to Cam Skattebo, drafters need little to no reminder to keep churning the wire and adding potential next man in types at the position.
Only 59 days until the start of Week 17, AKA Fantasy Football Championship week — keep grinding.

Running Backs
Isaiah Davis (RB, NYJ) — Davis had his breakout performance in Week 8’s loss, finishing with 109 total yards and 5 catches. He has multiple ways to deliver value to fantasy managers: his weekly touches will be there as New York lacks playmakers, and he has contingent upside if Breece Hall were to miss time. There is also a chance (a small one) that the Jets trade Hall at the deadline. Davis needs to be rostered in all formats.
Tank Bigsby (RB, Phi) — Bigsby needs to be moved into the high-end handcuff category after Week 8’s performance. Saquon Barkley dealt with a hamstring injury after a monster start to the game, and Bigsby stepped up in a major way with a season-high 9-104 on the ground. If Barkley were ever to miss time, Bigsby would be a strong RB2 play.
