‘100 Nights Of Hero’ Teaser Trailer Sees Maika Monroe’s Bride Tested

The first teaser trailer for 100 Nights of Hero, which will world premiere September 6 at the Venice Film Festival, has arrived.

The film, which lands in theaters December 5, stars Emma Corrin, Nicholas Galitzine, Maika Monroe, Amir El-Masry, Charli XCX, Richard E. Grant and Felicity Jones.

The film’s logline reads, “When a charming house guest (Galitzine) arrives at a remote castle, the delicate dynamic between a neglectful husband, his innocent bride Cherry (Monroe), and their devoted maid Hero (Corrin), is thrown into chaos.”

Cherry’s husband departs, but he places a secret bet to test her loyalty to him, causing Cherry and Hero to keep Galitzine’s seductive visitor Manfred in check. Julia Jackman wrote and directed the film, based on Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel.

“If I see not even a hint of pregnancy after 101 nights, you will not see next spring,” the husband tells Cherry in the clip. Corrin’s Hero comments that this is very specific.

The trailer then cuts to a montage of the cast, with a bloody Galitzine holding up a stag’s detached head, Charli XCX playing a stringed instrument and more. The period fantasy feminist fairy tale is inspired by One Thousand and One Nights.

“I feel a bit strange,” Monroe’s Cherry says at the end. “Can I have some water please?”

This prompts both Galitzine’s Manfred and Corrin’s Hero to hand her glasses of water, and she seems stumped on which one to drink.

Monroe is known for her role as Agent Lee Harker in Longlegs (2024), and she will appear in the upcoming film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him. Galitzine is known for films like Purple Hearts (2022) on Netflix, Bottoms (2023) and Prime Video’s book adaptations Red, White & Royal Blue (2023) and The Idea of You (2024). He will star as He-Man in the upcoming Masters of the Universe film. Corrin portrayed Princess Diana in The Crown, and has since appeared in films like Lady Chatterley’s Lover (2022) on Netflix, My Policeman (2022) on Prime Video and theatrical releases Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) and Nosferatu (2024).
