PlayStation’s State of Play has given us a better look at 007 First Light, the upcoming James Bond game from Hitman developer IO Interactive.
While most James Bond films lean into the reputation of the legendary secret agent, First Light is instead looking at Bond’s early days, featuring 007 as a resourceful and reckless young recruit.
The game’s cast includes some new faces as some of the franchise’s iconic recurring characters, starring Patrick Gibson as James Bond, Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, and Kiera Lester as Miss Moneypenny. First Light also introduces some new characters of its own, including Lennie James as John Greenway and Noemie Nakai as Ms. Roth.
IO debuted two new gameplay trailers as part of State of Play, giving us a look at some of the combat, driving, and infiltration sequences in First Light. We’ve collated some of the best screenshots from these trailers, as well as the game’s announcement trailer, to give you a better look at the trailers’ hidden details.
007 First Light will launch on March 27, 2026 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. Preorders for the game are live now, and come with an in-game pack of bonus goodies. 007 First Light also has a $300 Legacy Edition, which comes with a highly collectible replica Golden Gun.
